1. General Statement

The App allows users to create QR codes and HCC2D images, save project files, run local batch exports, and manage related local export history.

The App is designed primarily for local on-device use. Project content, text payloads, file references, export settings, and generated outputs are processed on the user's Mac for the purpose of providing the requested functionality.

The App does not require a user account and does not use submitted project content for advertising, profiling, or analytics purposes.

By using the App, users acknowledge and agree that data may be processed locally on their device as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Definition of Personal Information

"Personal Information" refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, in accordance with applicable laws including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China (PIPL).

3. Project Content and Local Processing

When using the App, project data may include text entered by the user, file paths selected by the user, imported file references, export settings, and generated barcode content. Depending on what the user provides, this data may contain personal information.

This data is processed locally on the user's device in order to:

  • Generate QR and HCC2D images
  • Save and reopen project files
  • Restore recent work and autosaved recovery state
  • Run local batch generation and export workflows
  • Maintain local export history and library views

We do not intentionally transmit project content to our servers as part of the App's normal encoding workflows.

4. Local Storage and App State

The App may store data locally on the user's device, including:

  • Project files explicitly saved by the user
  • Autosave and recovery files stored under the user's Application Support directory
  • The path and security-scoped bookmark for the last opened project
  • Security-scoped bookmarks for files and folders selected by the user
  • Local export history entries, including content summaries, output paths, source project references, and document snapshots

This information is stored solely to provide App functionality and continuity between launches.

5. No Network Communication

Core encoding, project editing, and export workflows operate locally on the user's device.

The App is designed to function offline and does not initiate network communication as part of its normal operation.

The App does not transmit project content, text payloads, generated barcode data, exported files, or other user content outside the user's device.

The App does not transmit personal information to any external systems. This means that the App does not transmit, upload, share, sell, rent, or trade personal information with the developer or any third parties.

6. Local Logs and Diagnostics

The App does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or profiling systems.

The App may write local diagnostic or debug information only in limited circumstances, such as when an optional debug logging mode is explicitly enabled for batch processing. Such logs remain on the user's device unless the user chooses to share them.

Crash reports and system diagnostics may also be generated by macOS according to the user's system settings and Apple's platform behavior. Such reports are governed in part by Apple's operating system and account settings.

7. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal information in accordance with applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China (PIPL).

Under GDPR, processing is based on:

  • Performance of a contract or service (Art. 6(1)(b))
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)), limited to providing local project continuity, preventing corruption of user work, and maintaining app reliability and security
  • Consent, where applicable (Art. 6(1)(a))

Under PIPL, processing is based on:

  • User consent
  • Necessity for the performance of a contract or provision of requested services
  • Necessity for maintaining the security and stable operation of the App
  • Compliance with legal obligations, where applicable

Processing is limited to what is necessary and is carried out in accordance with the principles of legality, legitimacy, necessity, and good faith.

8. Purpose of Processing

Personal information is processed solely for the following purposes:

  • Generating QR and HCC2D images
  • Saving and reopening local project files
  • Restoring autosaved work and last-used local state
  • Providing batch generation and export workflows
  • Maintaining local export history and related library views
  • Maintaining app reliability and troubleshooting local issues

9. Data Storage and Retention

We retain data only for as long as necessary for the App's local functionality or until the user deletes it.

In particular:

  • Autosave and recovery files remain on the device until overwritten, discarded, or removed
  • Last-opened project references and security-scoped bookmarks remain until replaced or cleared
  • Export history remains on the device until removed by the user or the App's local data is deleted
  • Optional debug logs remain on the device until removed

Because these items are stored locally on the user's device, users generally control their retention by managing the App's files, preferences, and local system storage.

10. Data Sharing and Cross-Border Transfer

We do not sell personal information. We do not intentionally share personal information from the App with third parties as part of its normal local encoding workflows.

Because the App is designed to operate locally and without network communication, we do not intentionally transfer project content, text payloads, or generated outputs outside the user's device through the App's normal workflows.

11. User Rights

Under applicable laws, including GDPR and PIPL, users may have the right to:

  • Access their personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of personal information
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Request data portability (where applicable)
  • Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)

Certain rights may not be applicable due to the App's offline nature and absence of centralized data processing.

We will respond to requests within a reasonable timeframe, generally within 30 days.

Users may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

The App does not provide account registration or identity-based services.

12. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the App.

Local App data is primarily protected by the user's device security, operating system permissions, sandboxing, and file-access controls. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

13. Children's Privacy

The App is not specifically intended for children. Where required by applicable law, users below the applicable age of consent should use the App under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

14. Updates to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The applicable version is intended to be bundled offline within the App, and any updated version will be included within a future App release.

15. Legal Compliance

This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with applicable data protection laws, including:

  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China (PIPL), where applicable
